In your case,  you need one month multiple entry to enter Vietnam.

There are two options for you:

First, for travelling by air to Vietnam, we recommedn you to use visa on arrival. Visa on arrival is the best way to get your visa.

What you need to do is simple:

- Apply online for 1month visa multiple at http://www.vietnam-visa.es/step1
- Pay the service fee for two pax (US$26/pax) through Onepay (Credit card), Paypal, or Western Union (up to you)
- Get your Vietnam visa approval letter(after 1 or 2 working days), bring it + 2 photos + passport (for each person) to Vietnam arrival airports to get your visa stamped on it. And now, enter Vietnam!

With this visa, you can go to Laos and then re-enter Vietnam later.

Another option is you can apply directly at Vietnam embassies overseas.
