What do I need to send to the Vietnam embassy to get my letter of approval???
By NhungVNB, November 11, 2008 @ 12:57 pm
ANSWER to Richarson:
1. How long is a visa in Vietnam?
It depends on how long you would stay in Vietnam. Normally, there are 4 types of visa duration in VN: 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 1-year (special type). For eg., if you gonna stay in VN for, say, 20 days, you have to apply for 1-month visa (single or multiple).
2. Apply for 10 year expiry visa to enter Vietnam?
For a 10-YEAR STAY, no entry visa can allow applicants to stay that long (even when extending, only one-month more is added). So you have to contact the Vietnamese Government (Vietnam Immigration Dept) directly to specially ask for such a special long-stay permission. (They might or might not allow; it depends on your particular case)
3. Can I arrival after my requested date of entry online Vietnam visa?
Yes. (But you have to leave on the right date cited on the visa)
4. How can I extend visa in Vietnam???
You can extend your visa by getting to the Vietnam Immigration Dept in Vietnam in person with your passport before your visa expiry date. You will get the answer after around 5 days. The fee is from 10-100 USD depending upon your particular type of visa.
5. What do I need to send to the Vietnam embassy to get my letter of approval???
To apply for a visa to Vietnam at Vietnam Embassy in your country, you have to submit your Passport (valid 6 months), application form (filled out), 2 photos (2×2in), visa fee, and pre-paid return envelope (in case you submit by mail carriage). Please note that you require an Approval Letter (for which you may have to pay some more fee). The processing time might be about 5-7 days.
You can also contact us at http://www.vietnam-visa.com to get a Vietnam Visa approval letter.
There’s also another quicker way to apply for a Vietnam visa, that is, selecting Visa on Arrival (to be collected on arrival at Vietnam International airport) by going online with us at http://www.vietnam-visa.com . You can get your visa approval letter after only 2 or 3 days (normal) and 1 day (urgent). For more details, please feel free to contact us. Thanks and Best Regards!

what is the best way to get a visa to vietnam?
By admin, November 12, 2008 @ 5:52 pm
ANSWER to Philip J:
We don’t know how long you gonna stay in Vietnam, yet, in any case, the fastest and easiest way to get a visa to Vietnam is applying online for a Visa on Arrival. You will get your Visa Approval Letter after 2-3 working days (normal) or 1 working day (urgent). The only thing you have to do is to fill in this secure online form at https://secure.vietnam-visa.com/apply.html, pay the fee, and get your approval letter after 2-3 days. There’ll be some mails to instruct you how to use the approval letter later on.
The other way is to get normal Vietnam entry visa (to be received before traveling) directly at Vietnam Embassy in your country. This takes time (around 4-10 days) and requires many procedures. So the former is better! Tks and Best Regards!

how about if you work there and have working permit?

how about if you work there and no work permit? what the consolate do to the people
By admin, December 10, 2008 @ 5:36 pm
ANSWER to Romsie:
In any case you always need a visa to Vietnam. If you have a work permit, your office in Vietnam who will work with you here will get a visa for you, and surely you can get a long-term visa.
If you do not have a work permit, you have to apply for a tourist visa. Good luck!

I plan to visit Vietnam in January’09 and May’09, as I have vacations during these months, can I apply for a 6 months Multiple entry Visa?
By Dominic, January 6, 2009 @ 8:48 am
Hi, I am Canadian citizen, currently living in China (Nanning) on a 1-year resident permit. I plan to visit Vietnam during spring festival. Should I get a visa from Nanning before I go?
By admin, January 9, 2009 @ 3:20 pm
ANSWER to Fernandes,
We are very pleased to receive your email with the very good news that you like our service at http://www.vietnam-visa.com. We do hope that you have had a great time in Vietnam, and long to serve you more in the future!
By admin, January 9, 2009 @ 3:26 pm
ANSWER to Dominic,
In your case, we suggest you apply for a visa code at http://www.vietnam-visa.com, and use it to pick up your visa at the Embassy in Beijing, or the Consulate in Guangzhou, since there’s no Vietnamese consulate in Nanning. Click here http://www.vietnam-visa.com to apply for the visa code.
Of if you gonna travel by air, you’d be best to apply for a visa on arrival (to pick up visa at arrival airport). Apply online at http://www.vietnam-visa.com!
Good luck!
By Alie Smith, January 14, 2009 @ 12:03 am
I will probably be travelling into Vietnam by bus from Nanning to Hanoi. Can I get a visa when I get off the bus if I have applied on line first and received my approval letter? If not what is the best way to get the visa?
Thanks
Alice
By admin, January 15, 2009 @ 4:40 pm
ANSWER to Alie Smith:
Visa on arrival is only applied for those who travel by air to Vietnam. If you go by bus, the only way to enter Vietnam is to get a visa before hand at the Vietnam Embassy/Consulate in your country.
You could still apply online at http://www.vietnam-visa.com for a visa code. After 1 or 2 days (from payment), you will receive it via email. You will wait about 2 days more (except weekend days) to print it out and bring it to the Embassy/Consulate to ask for the visa to be stamped onto your passport (pay some stamping fee, about some tens of US dollars). Remember to call us right away in case the Embassy has not received the fax of your case from Vietnam Immigration! Good luck!

I arrived in Vietnam early January with a valid Australian passport and a Vietnam Visa issued to me in Australia. Due to further travel plans I have been issued (at the Australian Consulate in Ho Chi Mien) a new Australian passport (of longer duration). In order to leave Vietnam next week, is my Vietnam Visa in original passport still valid? If not I am very concerned as to how to obtain another with all the public holidays .

Hi,
I am traveling to Beijing on Wednesday 4th February and looking to spend 3 weeks in China and then cross the border to Vietnam. I would like to apply for a 14 or 30day Visa (from the 23rd February). I only plan to spend a week in Vietnam before I move onto Cambodia.
Would it be possible to acquire a tourist visa at the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing? If so could you inform me of what I would need (application form, passport photo etc) and also how much time to allow for processing a visa.
Many thanks for your time,

Is it at all possible to enter Vietnam overland from China and get a visa on arrival?Or should i
have applied for one beforehand?
By admin, February 17, 2009 @ 11:34 am
Answer to Ja.
The Vietnam Government only agree to issue visa for tourist who is holding at least 6 months validity passport. In your specific case, you should come to the Immigration in your country to renew your passport. The process may take from 2-3 days to 10 days.
By admin, February 17, 2009 @ 11:35 am
Answer to Chloe:
There are two kinds of date: arrival date and registered date. The arrival date is the date you will come to Vietnam while registered date is the date cited on your visa. You can come later but no sooner than the registered date. For instance, if your registered date cited on the visa is March 7, it means you can come later than March 7 Jan but no sooner than March 7 as well as leave sooner but no later than the leaving date. Thus, it’s suitable for you to come to Vietnam on March 8.Thus, your Vietnam Visa in original passport still valid. You should contact with embassy before the traditional new year because I am afraid that all offices in Vietnam close in that days. Good luck!
By admin, February 17, 2009 @ 11:37 am
Answer to Forough:
We are very sorry to inform that, at present, the Vietnamese Government do not accept entry for citizens from some nations including yours. This might be due to some political matters, which are really out of our expectation.
We are sorry that we - as a travel agency - cannot do anything now to help you at present. We suggest you contact directly with the Vietnam Immigration for your specific case. Please see the below for contact of the Vietnam Immigration Dept for direct contacting:
Vietnam Immigration Department (A18)
Address: 40A Hang Bai Str., Hanoi, Vietnam
Tel: 844-38257941
We do hope that in the near future, things will change and we will have chances to welcome you to Vietnam and to serve you at our best! Regards!

If you enter Vietnam by land from China, you are suggested to apply for visa code as visa on arrival only allow you to get your visa stamped in Vietnam airports (it means you have to go by air). You can directly apply your visa code in your country or in China or apply though us.
By admin, February 17, 2009 @ 12:00 pm
Answer to Thomas Cardy:
You should apply for visa code in our website at http://www.vietnam-visa.com to pick up visa in Vietnam Embassy in Beijing - China. If you apply for urgent service, it takes only 1 days if you apply for normal service, it takes from 2 to 3 days (except for Saturday and Sunday) to get the visa code. All you should do as follows:

• Prepare 02 passport-sized pictures (4*6cm)
• Bring the Visa Code + 02 passport pictures + Your passport to the Vietnam Embassy in your area to get your visa stamped

Answer to Dannyc:
We are very sorry to inform that you must have at least months left on your Uk passport until it expires despite your time in Vietnam is short or long and there is no ways for you to collect the visa. Please be so kind to renew your passport and then do the visa. Welcome you to Vietnam with best regards!

Do I need proof of the date that I am leaving Vietnam before my visa expires? eg/ a return plane ticket to Bangkok
I am planning on buying a one-way ticket to Ho Chi Minh City AFTER I get my vietnam visa. Flying to HCMC, taking trains north to Hanoi then buying a one-way ticket back to Bangkok once I am ready to leave (within one month). Is this o.k?
Liam
By admin, March 9, 2009 @ 11:52 am
Answer to Tan,
If you are holding Malaysian passport (Malaysian nationality), you are visa - exempted to Vietnam less than 30 days. It means you can enter Vietnam without visa during 30 days.
Regards!
By admin, March 9, 2009 @ 12:00 pm
Answer to Geoff,
There are two kinds of Visa - visa on arrival and Visa code.
You should apply for visa on arrival if you enter Vietnam by air, single visa for one entry and multiple visa for multiple entry. If you are planning to stay in Vietnam for about 5 days you should apply for Visa on arrival 1 month single.
In case you enter Vietnam by land, you are suggested to apply for visa code (getting your visa code at the Vietnam Embassy and Consulate in your country). We will send your approval code to the Embassy in your country and you will come there to get your visa stamped. Yet, visa code will require time and cause you inconvenient!
If you go by air, Visa on arrival would be best!
Regards!
By admin, March 9, 2009 @ 12:15 pm
Answer to Liam,
You do not need to show any evidence that you will leave Vietnam before your expired date cited on your visa. If you are having Visa On arrival, the Vietnam Immigration Officer will check your passport or put a mark on your visa to show that your time in Vietnam is over.
when you check in at the border (if you used visa code), your passport which is attached with your visa will be carefully checked. It is not a serious matter!

Do I need a Vietnam visa if I am only changing planes in Vietnam? Final destination is Laos.
By admin, March 25, 2009 @ 11:42 am
Answer to Craig,
If you only transit in Vietnam for few hours before taking another flight to other country, there are two cases for you:
- If you only stay in the waiting room of the Vietnam airport without going out, you do not need a Vietnam visa.
- If you transit in Vietnam but you will go out of the airport for relaxing before taking the new flight, you will need a Vietnam visa.

By admin, March 26, 2009 @ 11:35 am
Answer to Mark,
If you are holding the Nigerian nationality, we are afraid to say that you should directly contact the Vietnam Immigration Office in Vietnam to ask for your case as progressing visa for you is not easy for us.
Vietnam Immigration Department (A18)

Once you get a single visa, there is no way to change to multiple one. In your specific case, you should apply for new one.

Can i change my 1 month tourist visa for Vietnam into a business/ working one whilst remaining in vietnam, as a teaching opportunity has arisen and i am unsure of my options.
Thanks in advance…
By admin, March 27, 2009 @ 10:16 am
Dear Michael T,
There is no considerable difference between tourism visa and business visa. You do not need to much worry about that. Yet, as far as we understand, you are in Vietnam right now, for secure feelings, you can apply for new business visa. Personally talking, it is not so necessary.

Hi,
I fly out to Bankok in May for 4 months before going onto Australia and will at some point be visiting Vietnam for a couple of weeks. If I apply for a visa on arrival will it be valid from the date I arrive in Vietnam or will I have to specify dates before hand, as I don’t know what they’ll be as yet?
Thanks
By admin, April 9, 2009 @ 11:37 am
Answer to Jess:
We would like to answer your question as follows:
There are two kinds of date: arrival date and registered date. The arrival date is the date you will come to Vietnam while registered date is the date cited on your visa. You can enter Vietnam 1 day earlier than the arrival date cited on the visa and 1 day later than the departure date cited on the visa. For instance, if your registered date cited on the visa is March 7, it means you can come to Vietnam later than March 7or you can come on March 6 as the earliest.
We hope that the information above is clear and helpful for you!

By admin, April 21, 2009 @ 10:37 am
Answer to Jon,
If you intend to enter Vietnam on 22nd, you should apply for super urgent service (plus $25 with normal service)which only take the Vietnam Immigration Office a half of a day to complete your visa. This kind of service will not appear on our site as it is only suggested in a emergency case like yours. Please send your super urgent service fee by logging in PayPal and pay us directly at order@vietnam-visa.com. Or you can pay through Xoom or Western Union instead. Right after receiving your payment, we will progress the visa for you and you will receive it at 12noon Vietnamese hours GMT+7 22nd April 2009 as latest.
By admin, April 21, 2009 @ 10:47 am
Answer to Riki Pavelec,
If you are holding a 1 year visa, you should come to a nearest Vietnamese travel agency to ask for renewing. You just pay the renew fee and wait from a week to 10 days. Normally, you can renew your 1 year visa several times and the fee would be $225. You should contact http://www.huongviettravel.com for more details.

if yes, then what are the requirments for visa processing and what kind of visa should i get? where in indonessia can i process it? how long will it take to process it after sending the requirements?

Hi there. I am a uk citizen planning to enter vietnam overland from china. I am leaving to go on a world trip in july and anticipate reaching vietnam by october- but do not know any exact date yet. Can i, as a uk national, apply for a vietnam visa at the vietnamese consulate in hong kong? and would 3 working days in hong kong be enough time to get this done?
By admin, May 11, 2009 @ 3:20 pm
Answer to Rob,
As a UK citizen, you can apply for Vietnam visa. There are two ways to get Vietnam Visa from Hong Kong as follows:
1. Get Vietnam Visa through Vietnam Consulate in Hong Kong
Contact Vietnam Consulate in Hong Kong:
Address: 15/F, Great Smart Tower, 230 Wan Chai Road
Wan Chai, Hongkong
Tel: (852) 2591 4517 / 2591 4510
Fax: (852) 2591 4524 / 2591-4539
How to get there? You go to Wan Chai road, you will see Great Smart Tower Building. Enter from Canal Road East and it is not far from there.
2. Get Vietnam Visa on arrival via online service
The considered quicker and easier way to get Visa to Vietnam from Hong Kong is to apply online for a Visa on Arrival. However, this method is applicable to air travel only.

Answer to Samal,
The Vietnam Immigration Department suggest that it would be quicker for you to directly come to Vietnam Embassy in your country, to pick up your visa. Your passport and information will be carefully checked in advance by them to avoid any troubles when you come to Vietnam.
We are sorry that we - as a travel agency - cannot do anything now to help you at present. We suggest you contact directly with the Vietnam Immigration for your specific case.

Hi I plan to directly apply for visas on behalf of my family to the Vietnamese Embassy in Hong Kong where I live. Can you please confirm the price of a visa for a 5 week visit to Vietnam. Please note that we intend to fly into Vietnam and continue immediately on a flight to Cambodia for a week returning to Vietnam for the full 5 weeks. Any problems with this? Thanks.
By admin, June 8, 2009 @ 11:04 am
Answer to Barry,
First of all, please kindly confirm us the followings:
-How long you will stay at the Vietnam airport? You just transit at the Vietnam airport before flying to Cambodia or you will stay in Vietnam for few days?
-When you enter Vietnam from Cambodia, will you enter Vietnam by air or by land?
Please kindly forward all your questions and answers to our email : support@vietnam-visa.com. We will take care of your case better!

Hi im a colombian citizen and i will be travelling to vietnam in 2 weeks, first i will be in hong kong for 5 days, is it possible to get the visa from the vietnamese consulate in hong kong? if so, do i need the visa code? and how long will it take for me to get the visa stamped on my passport.
thank you very much
By Alejandro Ordonez, June 8, 2009 @ 11:59 am
sorry, i didnt mention that i plan on going to vietnam by land from nanning.
By admin, June 8, 2009 @ 1:59 pm
Answer to Alejandro Ordonez,
In some countries as China, Laos, Cambodia, the process of getting a visa code is very quick and convenient. Therefore, we suggest that you should go there by yourself to pick up the visa code. In this case, you do not have to pay the service fee any more, just only stamping fee.
By Barry, June 8, 2009 @ 4:48 pm
Ok. We will be in transit going through Ho Chi Minh to Cambodia and flying back into Vietnam.
Also is it easier to apply for an extension to the 30 day Vietnam visa once you are in Vietnam than apply online here in Hong Kong or can I not do that in Hong Kong anyway? And if I can what is the cost difference?
Regards and thanks for your prompt reply!
Barry
By admin, June 11, 2009 @ 10:27 am
Answer to Barry,
If you enter Vietnam by air, you should apply for visa 3 months multiple. This kind of visa will let you enter and exit Vietnam many times within 3 months. You can enter Vietnam whenever you want in 3 months.
If you want to extend your visa, you must extend it in Vietnam, not in Hongkong. Yet, in order to do that, you must have a visa already and then, you extend it.In Hongkong, you can only pick up your visa code in Vietnam Embassy. The fee for getting the visa code varies between countries so we are impossible to cover all.
Yet, you should apply for visa on arrival 3 months. If you just transit Vietnam for the first time and do not go out the waiting room of the Vietnam airport, you do not need a Vietnam Visa.
By Evelien, June 16, 2009 @ 10:13 pm
Hello, thanks for your helpful site!
I have the following question: I will be staying in Vietnam on a tourist visa in July. I am a Dutch citizen and can easily get a Vietnam visa here in Cambodia where I am right now. After spending this month in Vietnam, I plan to extend the visa for the month of August because my boyfriend will come to visit me to travel in Vietnam together for 3 to 4 weeks.
My boyfriend is a Korean. I have understood that citizens of South Korea do not need a visa for Vietnam, they can stay in the country without visa for 15 days.
However, we want to travel longer than 15 days. Question is: should he get a Vietnam 30 day tourist visa before entering the country, or can he extend the 15 days when he is already in Vietnam? How long would that take, and how much does it cost?
Given the fact that we will be traveling and do not want to be stuck in a city for a long time waiting for his passport to come back, would it overall be more convenient for him to just get a normal 30 day tourist visa to begin with? Thanks!
By admin, June 17, 2009 @ 11:46 am
Answer to Evelien,
If you enter Vietnam by air, you and your friend should apply for visa 1 month. Your guy does not need Vietnam visa for 15 days visits, yet, he should apply a visa for 1 month because the process of getting the visa extend is long and the service fee for extending is normally high.
What you need to do is very simple as follows:
-You apply online at http://www.vietnam-visa.com
-Settle the payment (service fee) as per instructions
- Receive your visa approval letter after 1working day (urgent service), and 2 or 3 working days (normal service) via email
- You print the letter out and bring it together with your photos + passport +some dollars pay the Vietnam Immigration Officer to get your visa stamped in arrival airport in Vietnam and pick up your visa there.
And now, you are ready to enter Vietnam!
There are two kinds of fees: service fee and stamping fee.
- Service fee: the fee is paid ONLINE for us to proceed the visa for you.
- Stamping fee: For getting your visa stamped at VIETNAM airport, pay directly at the Vietnam airports for the Immigration officers by cash (in USD) at immigration Desk.
If you enter Vietnam by land, you should apply the visa code by yourself at the Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia. You do not need to apply through our service as the process of getting the visa there is quick!

We are pleased to inform you that Vietnam has just granted entry visa exemptions for Myanmar citizens holding ordinary passports for visits of 21 days at the maximum. It means that you don’t need visa to come to Vietnam for 20 days.

Im Vietnamese,i have the CARD de SEJOUR from France.Do i need to get visas both countries Vietnam-France to go in and out while my card is value??
By admin, July 10, 2009 @ 9:18 am
Answer to Van,
If you are Vietnamese with Vietnamese passport, you don’t need visa to come to Vietnam.
If you are Vietnamese overseas with different nationality shown in your passport (like French, Austrian, US…), you are offered visa exemption to enter Vietnam by the Vietnamese Government. Please kindly click here for detailed guidelines http://mienthithucvk.mofa.gov.vn/.
However, if you would like to avoid all the procedures at the Embassy, and require a visa to Vietnam quickly, we will get your visa on arrival done upon your request (via email or phone)! And it will be completed after 2 working days from your request!
In case you are Vietnamese live in France, Australia, US… with green card (card de sejour), you are required visa to come to Vietnam. Please scan it and send us by email so we can do the visa for you.

I recently received a 6-month single-entry visa through VN embassy. I plan to come to Vietnam for September and October, possibly longer. If I leave, then need to return before the 6-month period is over, will the embassy issue me a new visa? Or do I need to wait until the 6-month visa is over?
By admin, August 5, 2009 @ 10:35 am
Answer to Jean,
In your case, Vietnam Embassy will issue a new visa for you. However, we suggest if you enter and exit Vietnam many times, that you should apply for 6-month multiple visa. It’s cheaper and more convenient for you!
Regards!
By Rodrigo, August 5, 2009 @ 9:41 pm
Hello
My visa has been issued for the period between 21st august to 4th september. Unfortunately, I could only get to Vietnam on 2nd september, which would leave me not much time to enjoy. Is there a way to change the validity of my visa on arrival?
By admin, August 10, 2009 @ 11:29 am
Answer to Rodrigo,
Normally, Vietnam Immigration Dept usually issues the Visa for clients in 1 month. For example, from 21 August to 21 September. In your case, you should double check your visa. If it only valid from 21 August to 4 September, you can extend your visa when you are in Vietnam or you can renew your visa with the new arrival date and exit day.
Best regards.

By Alberto, September 3, 2009 @ 12:08 pm
Hi,
My wife and I will be traveling to Vietnam in the next couple of days. We will arrive from China, and will be crossing to Vietnam through the Lao Cai border. We both already have a visa to Vietnam that we requested in Canada (country where we live) and we are traveling with a Mexican and a Colombian passport respectively.
My question is, Does the visa need to say which crossing will we be using? We have red in a couple of books that it is neccesary that the visa states which crossing we will use. The form that we submitted in Canada when we requested our visas stated that we will cross to Vietnam through Lao Cai. But the visas in our passports does not have that information printed anywhere.
Thank you for your help.
Alberto
By admin, September 3, 2009 @ 4:23 pm
To Alberto,
There are two ways you can get the visa code.
Firstly, you can apply Visa directly at the Vietnam embassy or Consulates in the country you are living or staying in. The stamping fees for getting the visa code do vary depending upon the country (normally, upward $50/pax).
Secondly, by using our service, you can get your Vietnam visa entry conveniently. We will help you to apply visa code through the Vietnam Immigration Office then, they will send your visa approval code directly to The Vietnam Embassy or Vietnam Consulate in the country you are living or staying in where you just bring your passport to receive the visa to entry to Vietnam (You should go to the Embassy after receiving our approval code from us 2 days later because Vietnam Embassy/Consulate needs time to check your information with the Vietnam Immigration Department). The service fee will be online paid us to progress the approval code. The stamping fee will be paid at the Embassy directly to get your stamp! This fee will be different in each country.
In some countries as China, Laos, Cambodia, the process of getting a visa code is very quick and convenient. Therefore, we suggest that you should go there by yourself to pick up the visa code. In this case, you do not have to pay the service fee any more, just only stamping fee.
Many thanks and best regards!

My daughter has lost her British passport in Vietnam. She is trying to get a replacement from the British Embassy but I understand she then needs a Vietnamese exit visa to come home. How does she do this and what are the costs and timescales? Thanks
By admin, September 16, 2009 @ 5:27 pm
answer to David: We would like to suggest that you should follow these steps to get the exit Vietnam:
1. Inform of your situation to police in the place you are living in Vietnam
2. Go to the British Embassy in Vietnam to reissue your passport.
3. Bring your new passport and dispatch of British Embassy and a report on losing your passport to a travel agency to ask for Exit Visa.
Best wishes for you,
Regards!

Hello,
I’m a US citizen, and I received an approved multiple-entry visa for a 1 month stay in Vietnam, but I now need to change the valid dates. Currently, it’s valid from Dec. 11, 2009 - Jan. 11, 2010, however I need it to be valid from Dec. 2, 2009 - Jan 2., 2010 as I plan to go into the country earlier. Since I am traveling through SE Asia and am not in one city for more than a few days at a time, what’s the best (and most convenient) way to update or change the valid dates of my visa? I’m near Chiang Mai in Thailand at this time.
Thank you,

To Winnie Wong,
You can not get to Vietnam on December 2 with your ready-done visa. If you would like to get earlier, you have to request for another visa approval with the arrival date “December 2″,for this case, you can go to Vietnam Embassy in Bangkok-Thailand in person to pick up your visa or apply online for visa on arrival (picked up at Vietnam airport)

I have been traveling around Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia for 4 months now and have decided i want to try and work and live in Vietnaam!! At the moment I’m in Cambodia and I am wondering what the best way for me is to get a work permit/visa for Vietnam? Do i need to have a job(sponsor) already sorted or can i go there and find a job, then get my work visa/permit? Will i have to leave or can i change my tourist visa to enable me to work?
Thanks

Sir,
I am holding passport of the Turkish Republic but I am a resident of Japan as my wife is Japanese and I have been living here since 1981.
In the recent years, I visited Vietnam many times to make a market research for my company as i work for a Japanese machine manufacturer. We are intending to open a representative office in HCM City and we have prepared all the documents. But when I applied for visa to the Vietnam Consulate in Osaka, my visa was rejected for no reason. I applied again through a Japanese travel agency and their branch office in HCM City, it was rejected again.
I would like to get a 2 or 3 month single business or tourist visa. I have to go to the Department of Industry and Trade in HCM City to present our documents and get Representative Office permit.
Kindly reply and inform me if you can obtain a visa for my visit to Vietnam.
I await your prompt attention.
Thank you.
