How to get Vietnam visa from India
This is a general guide to get the visa to Vietnam for:
- Indian passport holders, and
- Holders of foreign passports living in India.
There are 02 ways to get a Vietnam visa from India, for Indian citizens and residents.
1. Get Visa at local embassy/consulate of Vietnam:
To get a Vietnam visa in India this way, the applicants will need to apply through a third party center named VFSGlobal.
The required documents they need to prepare and submit to this center include:
For tourist visa for Vietnam:
- Original valid Passport with at least 02 blank pages
- 1 Application form (Download here)
- 1 photograph (size 4×6 cm – clear photos with white background is acceptable)
- Copy of front and last page of the passport
- To and fro Air Ticket
- Bank Statement for the last 3 months
For business visa for Vietnam:
- Original valid Passport with at least 02 blank pages
- 1 Application form (Download here)
- 1 photograph (size 4×6 cm – clear photos with white background is acceptable)
- Copy of front and last page of the passport
- To and fro Air Ticket
- Bank Statement for the last 3 months
- Approval letter from Vietnam immigration.
- Kindly note: If required, additional documents might be asked by the Embassy.
The processing time is 7 working days for the tourist visa and 8 working days for the business visa since receipt of full documents and payment.
2. Apply online for visa on arrival
Visa on arrival (VOA) is the best choice to get a Vietnam visa from India. It is especially beneficial for those living far from the office of the Vietnam embassy/consulate in this country. However, it is available for those traveling to Vietnam by air only.
