Promptly and conscientiously
Heita! Maybe I’m visiting Vietnam next summer. I’m wondering about Vietnam visa requirements for my nationality.
Vietnam Visa for South African passport holders is obligatory. Those who are currently living in South Arica or other countries also need to get a Vietnam visa before your trip to Vietnam for any purpose. There are two options for your choice: applying at Vietnam Embassy in Pretoria or applying for Vietnam visa on arrival.
To apply for Vietnam visa on arrival, applicants just need to go online https://booking.vietnam-visa.com/step1.html and spend few minutes fill in Vietnam visa application online with all correct information. Then after making payment for visa approval fee as quoted by the system, you will get get the visa approval letter issued by Vietnam Immigration Department after 2 working days for standard service and 1 working days for urgent service. Applicants can choose OnePay, PayPal or Western Union to pay for service fee. After that, South African will have the visa stamped onto passport by presenting this letter together with stamping fee paid in cash to Immigration Counter in the airport. However, this kind of visa only allows those who want to travel Vietnam by air including any of 5 international airports in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh City.
Instead of applying for Vietnam visa on Arrival, South African can come to Vietnam Embassy in South Africa to apply for Vietnam Visa. You will have to submit your visa application form inn a person along with your original passport and related papers, etc. required by the Embassy. It may require your presence several times until the process is complete. Besides, all the fee is different depending on each Vietnam Embassy in different countries such as stamping fee, service fee, shipping fee and so on. Normally, it will take 3 to 5 working days to process and you will get full visa packet before boarding the plane. Because of these disadvantages, getting Vietnam visa at Embassy of Vietnam is only recommended for people planning to enter Viet Nam by land or sea way. You can contact directly with the Embassy as information as below:
