It was a coincidence that just at this time, we were approached by Vietnam-Visa.com, who heard of our plans to visit Vietnam for a couple of months. They were nice enough to answer all our questions and made our visa experience a breeze.

Get your visa letter here.
You use an approval letter company to apply for it. I’ve used this company and referred hundreds of our teachers to them too and haven’t had any issues to date.

How to Choose an Online Vietnam Visa Agency
Truthfully, it’s hard to tell the difference between real companies and the fake ones. That’s why we created this post and want to share a real and reliable site we trust and recommend: Vietnam-visa.com.

The visa rules are different to every nationality so you should always check what requirements Vietnam has for your home country. You can find this out easily on Vietnam-visa.com by just entering your nationality.

You can’t submit your application for this directly to the Vietnam government; instead, you fill out an application online via a recognized 3rd party agency.
Many of these agencies have outdated websites seemingly designed in the 1990s, so it can be difficult to know which one to trust. I’ve personally used Vietnam-Visa.com which has a modern site with a smooth process, and transparent visa information based on your nationality.

We used an online visa processing agency that had good reviews and it took only a few minutes to submit our travel dates and passport details on their website. Their normal processing time is 2 working days and they have different fees for a variety of visa durations and number of entries they offer. If you need it right away they have a “super urgent” service that takes just a few hours.

Visa: most nationalities, but do double-check, need an invitation letter arranged ahead to be eligible for visa on arrival. I arranged my letter through Vietnam-Visa.com which was very efficient, affordable and quick. For me the best way to get a Vietnam visa letter.

I found the easiest thing to do was to apply online for a visa invitation letter which means you can then apply for a visa on arrival at the airport. It only took about 20 minutes from when I handed in my letter and passport photos to getting my passport back with the visa inside. It cost $45 so be sure to have US dollars cash on you, preferable the exact amount.
