Vietnam VISA Guide

If you are Indonesia citizen or resident and want to apply for a visa to Vietnam, you can do it by either of the following ways:

  • Directly contact the Vietnam Embassy to apply for a visa; OR
  • Apply for a visa on arrival if traveling to Vietnam by air.

Can Indonesians use visa on arrival for my traveling to Vietnam by land or sea?

No. Vietnam visa on arrival works at international airports of Vietnam only, so it is for those traveling to Vietnam by air only.

How to obtain a Vietnam visa for an Indonesian?

As an Indonesian citizen, you only need to obtain a Vietnam visa if you wish to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 consecutive days. And in this case, you may have two options to get a visa for Vietnam, namely:
  • Obtain a visa on arrival (highly recommended if you are traveling to Vietnam by air for convenience, fast processing and simplicity in application);
